Baby Boomers Singles Cruise Had Great Energy!

— Shelby @ 5:07 pm

Remember when it took five minutes for the TV to warm up, when a quarter was a decent allowance? Running through the sprinkler, circle pins, bobby pins and the Mickey Mouse Club? The 1960’s is the decade that defined the Boomers. The music, events, and the social changes made a permanent impression on us. However as we all know its attitude, not age that defined this singles group. To define it any other way would have been to deeply underestimate them!

I am positive that if we had sailed past all 4 ports without stopping, our group would not have noticed. Where else can you become a small tight knit community of friends in less than a week – on  SinglesCruise.com – that’s where! By the third day Henry had already taken over 800 pictures!

The energy that the music of the 50’s and 60’s generated at our “Sock Hop” would have fueled the ship for the entire week to be sure. It is impossible to NOT have fun. We literally had to lock the doors of the venue, as many of Carnival’s cruisers wanted to join the fun!! It was difficult to choose the winners of our “twist” competition; however Henry and Regla took the prize.

Always amazing is the Battle of the Sexes. The “Studs” lost to the “Divas” and had to stand and face them while proclaiming loudly…”I am NOT smarter than a Diva!” Of course they demanded a rematch!

We were privileged to have Debby and “Tank” in our group. Both of them will be deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan shortly and joined us prior to leaving to defend our freedom. We were honored to celebrate Veterans Day onboard and there were many others in our group as well who were honored.

If you see Brad, ask him what a termite tastes like and he will tell you it doesn’t taste like chicken. Those who took the SinglesCruise.com cave tubing shore excursion were invited to taste the little morsels and told us they tasted “smokey.”  There are so many adventures I would love to share, however space does not permit.  You’ll just have to join us on the next 10-night Islander over 40 singles cruise in March!!

Your host Ingrid
