Additionally, is expanding its offering to more cruise lines from more casual "resort style" ships to upscale "premium" offerings, as well as the highly-popular mega-ships that enable cruisers to enjoy nearly everything under the sun, even while at sea.

According to Shelby Bergeron,'s renowned Lead Cruise Director and Shore Excursion Manager, the most popular activities reserved for guest include:

1. Exclusive Cocktail and Dance Parties hosts three open bar cocktail parties per 7-night cruise exclusively for its guests. Welcome mixers greet guests on their first evening aboard so they can get to know each other in a casual, low pressure atmosphere. In most cases, the cocktail parties double as dance parties. "Our orientation mixers create the ideal environment for our guests to meet organically, find common interests with other singles and dance with new friends," said Bergeron. "Nobody wants to miss the orientation cocktail party – it sets the tone for our guests and what ultimately may become the best vacation of their lives!"

2. Theme Nights and Karaoke Parties

Typically, offers two theme nights per cruise. They usually take place during the cocktail parties, and themes have included "Angels and Devils," "Country/Western," "Mardi Gras," "Roaring 20s," and "Tropical" along with its annual Halloween-themed cruise that allows for costumes of all types. "Our guests become totally involved with the theme nights; many of them bring crazy costumes, and the parties are so much fun. If you don't want to bring a costume for a theme night that's fine, too, but generally the group goes all out and puts a lot of effort into dressing for the theme nights, especially on our largest cruise of the year for Halloween," said Bergeron. also usually hosts a private hour of karaoke for their guests. "Karaoke is always a blast, and it is even more fun if people are already dressed up for the theme party. We also design everything with the size of our group in mind. If we have a more intimate group of guests, we offer a simpler theme, making it easier for everyone to feel comfortable participating," said Bergeron.

3. Battle of the Sexes

A "guys versus gals" event, guests gather in a lounge reserved for the ultimate game show spin-off. Each team is asked questions designed to elicit humorous responses that may seem obvious to one group, but not to the other. "It's a great way for members of the same gender to do some serious bonding – and it's very entertaining to see just how funny and clever our guests are when they match wits," said Bergeron.

4. Speed Meeting

Speed meeting is's lower-pressure version of speed dating. Whereas in speed dating, the goal is to achieve a first date, speed meeting is an effective way of meeting members of the opposite sex in a quick and easy fashion. guests are seated individually at tables and then rotate so they each have the opportunity to meet other guests for a few minutes. "The goal is to get a sense of who else is traveling with the group and say hello. It's a great way to network and get to know fellow guests in a more intimate setting," said Bergeron.

5. Dance Classes

As a dance instructor,'s Bergeron – along with members of the ship's staff – teach a variety of different styles of dance, whether it's the merengue, swing, cha-cha or salsa. All guests are invited to attend the free classes. "A cruise ship is a great place to learn a few moves on the dance floor. It's a perfect setting to use what you learned later on that night and dance to a live band or in the disco," said Bergeron. "Our complimentary dance classes are very popular with both our male and female guests."

Jody Ryland, Vice President,, commented that many of the most popular activities have stood the test of time. "Just like most cruise ships have table tennis on the lido deck and a glamorous dining room, there are also features of our singles cruises that we know our guests have come to expect," said Ryland. "Certainly, they are open to new innovations, but we also have a high number of repeat clients who count on our exceptional formula for a consistently fun experience each and every time."

What's Different?

As guests can rely on their favorite activities remaining in place, Ryland noted that the experience constantly improves, including in the ships and itineraries selected to meet its clientele's evolving tastes. "Up until a few years ago, we only sailed on cruise ships that were best known for their resort style and party atmosphere. Even though our cocktail parties remain our most popular events, we have expanded our sailings to take place on more sophisticated ships, such as Celebrity Cruises' Reflection, and Royal Caribbean's Allure of the Seas, which has set the bar for imagination and innovation among large cruise ships," said Ryland.

According to Ryland, places as much emphasis on fostering friendship as enabling love connections. "While we do continue to have a great success rate in introducing couples to each other, a large number of our guests are very experienced travelers who are simply in search of a great vacation experience with like-minded single travelers," Ryland noted. has 13 sailings scheduled for the remainder of 2014 and into 2015 with more to come. Its most popular voyage each year is the Halloween cruise, which usually welcomes over 500 guests. While most trips are designated for all adults regardless of age, certain cruises are aimed at specific age groups. is also hosting its first land-based vacation later this year – a 4-night getaway to Club Med Turkoise, Turks and Caicos.
